The Arizona Medical Association Political Action Committee (ArMPAC) is an non-partisan organization that serves as the political arm of the Arizona Medical Association (ArMA). The primary purpose of ArMPAC is to support candidates for political office with money contributed on top of your current dues.
ArMPAC is lead by a Board of Directors, which is a voluntary member position. The Board works to identify viable candidates who support ArMA physicians and their patients, and the money raised goes to supporting these candidates during an election.
ArMPAC supports candidates for the Arizona legislature, statewide office, and ballot initiatives which affect our members. It can make contributions to candidates, or independent expenditures in support of candidates or ballot measures. An independent expenditure includes television or radio advertisements, mailers, emails, polls, or any expense supporting an ArMPAC-endorsed candidate.
ArMPAC is an extension of ArMA. All contributions are strictly used for political purposes. Your contribution will be used only for ArMPAC- supported efforts to support candidates or ballot measures. While a contribution isn’t required, it is a critical part of ArMA’s advocacy efforts, and one of the most effective ways to both spread our message and ensure physicians continue to have a voice in the political process.
